Frutigen
As the region’s tourism hub, Frutigen serves as an ideal starting point for excursions into the Alpine world – so ideal that some visitors choose to stay right here. From Gehrihorn to Niesen, there’s plenty to experience.
Elsigen-Metsch
A mountain full of adventures: Stand-up paddling on Brandsee, hiking and biking routes, picnicking at Elsigseeli, alpine cheese dairy tours, or skiing in winter. There’s something for everyone.
Tellenburg
This 800-year-old structure was once the residence of the Lords of Kien and Aris. Destroyed in 1798, the tower was restored in 1930 and now stands proudly above the village.
Blausee
Nestled in a forest, the crystal-clear Blausee is enchanting. Its 20-hectare nature park holds even more surprises.
Hohstalden Bridge
For those unafraid of heights, the riverside trail in Frutigen offers the perfect adventure: crossing one of Europe’s longest suspension bridges high above the valley.
BLS Visitor Center
The former Frutigen train station (1901-1913) was faithfully restored in 2017 and now serves as the central starting point for tours at BLS.
