Bannwald Museum Adelboden
The Adelboden protective forest (Bannwald) is a prime example of the direct dependence of a village on the protective effect of mountain forests against natural hazards.
After massive overexploitation of the forests above the village and as a result, more and more occurrences Natural hazard events, it was recognized as early as 1617 that only an intact forest can offer protection against natural hazards. That's why the forest above Adelboden was placed under protection in the ban letter of 1617.
The exhibition in the Senggi-Schopf offers visitors an exciting insight into the significance of the protected forest, the structures and their history in a short space of time.
