Ludotrail - Play your way through Adelboden

Discover the village while having fun! Over 20 dedicated game posts across Adelboden invite you to stop and play. All the game posts are individually designed and thematically match the location. Race with local buses, stack alpine animals on TschentenAlp, have a race with Snowli, lace up hiking boots in a duel or catch toy marmots… many game highlights await you, your family and friends.

Exciting games are waiting throughout the village – on tables, on walls, on the ground, in the park, in front of buildings and next to landmarks, stores and restaurants. The choice is enormous and includes entertaining card games, tile laying games, word games, skill games and larger games. These can be played in any number or order. The locations of the posts can be seen on the map in the rule book.

Availability of Ludotrail "Play your way through Adelboden"

  • The Ludo Trail “Play your way through Adelboden” is available from spring until the beginning of winter.
  • All game posts are located outdoors.
  • Some games may be inaccessible or unavailable in poor weather.
  • All game posts can be reached on foot. The paths are suitable for children’s pushchairs.
  • Almost all game posts can also be accessed by wheelchair.
  • The TschentenAlp cable car must be used to access the game post on Tschentenalp.
  • One game pack is needed per group (2-5 people).
  • The games pack can be used for the trail for the whole day.

Equipment stores

The material needed for large games is always located in a locker by the game post. All lockers can be opened using the key in the games box. After you have finished, please put all equipment back into the locker and secure it with the key.

Food, drinks & shopping

In the village, there are a variety of restaurants, cafés and stores selling regional specialities and souvenirs.

The pack with the games box must be returned to the issuing office after use (please check opening hours). A charge will be made for any missing material.

Instructions for schools

To plan “Play your way through Adelboden” for a school group, you will find information on the number of players, duration of the games and level of difficulty in the documentation below. Please remind pupils that game materials must be handled with care. Because the games are custom-made, it would be very costly to repair the equipment or have it newly manufactured. We also ask you to store the games material correctly in the lockers afterwards and use the key provided to secure it. Thank you for your cooperation.
