First chairlift, then mountain view: This Kiental Valley trail starts at the Ramslauenen summit station, which means you have a few metres of altitude under your belt and the horizon opens wide from the very start. This same is true for the following stages of this magnificent trail, which include Chüeweid, Furggi-Alp and Höri. Up here, you will enjoy views across the wildly romantic Kiental Valley as well as over the broad Kander Valley.

Public Transport

Arrival by bus in Kiental

This mountain village can be reached every two hours via Reichenbach (61 minutes from Berne). In summer, buses continue up the steep route to Griesalp.

Directions

Soon it will be cool and shady. From the summit station of the Ramslauenen chairlift, you first walk through the Horewald forest to Chüeweid. The terrain then opens up at this meeting point between Kiental Valley and Kandertal Valley. Runners now turn south first to Furggi-Alp, where the trail then goes left up towards Höri. Then, after another left turn, the final climb begins. Now the descent back to Ramslauenen follows at a brisk pace.
