First, you head upstream and then go with the flow. This Reichenbach trail is mainly across the valley floor, revealing the beauty of the River Kander and the alpine mountain landscape on both sides. On the way back, the picturesque Kienseeli lake proves that still water also has an appeal. Centuries-old buildings stand guard for the final sprint as the last section of the route joins the Reichenbach Häuserweg (Houses Trail ).
Public Transport
Arrival at Reichenbach Railway Station
Here you change from the railroad to the post bus: Reichenbach is a hinge point for vacationers.
Parking
The destination has been decided, and so has the parking space - on this map, drivers can quickly and easily find the right parking option in the Oberland municipality. Well then: engine off, Trail-Running shoes on!
Directions
Against the flow, but with plenty of vigour: Starting directly at Reichenbach Railway Station, this route follows the River Kander upstream. Trail runners cross over to the other bank at the "Waggelibrücke" bridge and turn left towards Reichenbach. The water is still at the idyllic Kienseeli lake, but the runners keep moving. The trail now leads to Kien, where the scenery becomes more and more historic. Following small roads, the trail then joins Reichenbach's magnificent "Häuserweg" back to the starting point.
