First the riverbank path, then the panoramic view. Beginning in Adelboden Oey, the route takes you beside the Engstlige river and then climbs up to the left after Mülli-Brücke towards Hohliebe – what a view! Next, the trail crosses the Lengweid forest to the idyllic Alp Laueli, where fountain water splashes invitingly next to the hut. Time to move on now, as the narrow path winds its way back down to Unter dem Birg. Here, you can choose between the river route back to Oey or add the circular waterfall trail to your itinerary.
Public Transport
Our mountain village is located just 90 minutes from the capital city, Berne. The
bus station in the centre of Adelboden has transport links to the entire Engstlige Valley.

Directions
After the start in Adelboden Oey, the route leads along the Enstligen along the gently curving hiking trail. At the Mülli bridge you turn left and shortly afterwards up the Gspennweg, which at some point turns into a hiking trail and leads up to Hohliebe. What a view! Afterwards, this trail leads through wonderfully fragrant Lengweid forest and directly on to Laueli. Once here, the Bernese Oberland seems to have swallowed us whole and only the splashing of the fountain next to the alpine hut reminds us that we still have trail shoes on our feet. We then continue down the narrow trail, over roots and pine cones and past small streams. At Unter dem Birg, you can choose the hiking trail directly along the river, which leads you back to Adelboden Oey, or for the particularly hungry runners, you can add the waterfall loop trail.
