Imposing mountain lodge in a prominent location above the Gemmi Pass (2507 m above sea level), on the eastern side of the Wildstrubel massif, flanked by towering rock walls, yet still with an open view across to the Balmhorn/Altels and the Bietschhorn. The family-friendly hut is a starting point for famous hikes towards Leukerbad, Kandersteg, and Adelboden. Numerous climbing opportunities and high-altitude tours in both summer and winter. Chamois are often spotted near the hut or along the path to the hut.
