Tips for the Audience
The start takes place at the Waldhotel Doldenhorn. There are three zones available for following the race - these are best reached on foot or by bicycle. Running along the stream, crossing the meadows, and touching the ducks is reserved for the helpers.
Refreshments
Cool drinks are served along the racetrack by the team from Hotel Des Alpes.
In the finish area at the Restaurant Schweizerhof, there are also refreshments as well as bratwurst, risotto from the Gilde kitchen, and much more.
Programm
The training camp is over, now it’s about the sausage or rather the poultry: In the second edition of the rubber duck race, it’s once again about which of the yellow speedsters reaches the finish line at the foaming Irfig first on the first Saturday in September. From the spectator areas, the respective favorites can be comfortably followed as they dance on the waves: Those who have purchased a license for a fast duck in advance qualify for the final and can win attractive prizes – the entry fee also serves a good cause. Additionally, there is a wide supporting program, including a concert by the music society and risotto from the guild kitchen.

“Duck Tax” for a Good Cause
A license for a racing duck is available for CHF 10 at the Kandersteg Tourist Center. All proceeds are then donated 100%. Visitors can also engage in a good cause in the finish area.
