Wind, Weather and Photography – Workshop

Anyone who is enthusiastic about weather phenomena and enjoys photography will gain in-depth knowledge about weather forecasts for photography in this course. Together with meteorologist Roger Oechslin from Meteoscout and Lukas Moesch Photography, participants will immerse themselves in the world of wind, weather, and weather data.
The focus is on weather forecasts for photographers, particularly thunderstorms, their formation, potential, and possible dangers. After the three course days, participants will be able to create their own forecasts and interpret weather data and weather apps purposefully.

Programm
Over three course days, participants will engage intensively with weather forecasts for photography. Topics covered include weather data, weather apps, forecasting methods, thunderstorm potentials, and dangers. The goal is to be able to make informed weather assessments for photographic assignments independently after the course.
Requirements
- DSLR, mirrorless camera, or system camera
- Prior knowledge of camera operation
- Wide-angle and standard lens, a tele-zoom if needed - sturdy tripod and corresponding camera plate / L-bracket - hiking shoes - warm and weatherproof outdoor clothing
- Personal, small pharmacy with medications, toiletries, etc.
- Everything you need for a cabin or hotel stay
