Friday: The relay race takes place on Friday.
Saturday: The individual race takes place on Saturday.
Important: Those who participate must be fit and trained. The last passage times/time limits are listed in the programs for the relay and individual race. Those who cannot meet these limits will be withdrawn from the race.

WARNING: Walking on the stairs without permission is prohibited
The stairs along the Niesenbahn are a service staircase for maintenance and a mountain staircase for emergencies. The staircase is part of the infrastructure of NIESENBAHN AG and is owned by the railway company.
For safety reasons and to protect the infrastructure, walking on the staircase is at all times (365 days, 24 hours), prohibited. In case of violation, personal details will be recorded and 59 francs will be collected.

Alternative use options:
- Stair Subscription, CHF 490.-: Permission to use the stairs (03:00 – 07:00 h), including free shower and downhill ride, otherwise valid like a seasonal subscription. Registration required before starting at the valley station, "clearance" upon arrival at the summit
- Use of hiking trails
- Rental of the stairs for group events (CHF 49.-/person, group discount)
- Participation in the annual Stair Run (individual run, relay run)
