Kandersteger Nordic Festival 2026

Dear friends of Nordic skiing

In Kandersteg, we find excellent trails and ski jumping facilities as the only winter sports resort in Switzerland. With the addition of a temporary biathlon shooting range and an animation or sponsor village in the village center, we will become the center of Nordic skiing in Switzerland.

During the Nordic Festival Kandersteg, competitions of the national competition series "Swiss Nordic Trophy" will be held over a weekend from Friday, January 2, 2026, to Sunday, January 4, 2026. Athletes under 16 years old from Switzerland will compete for best times and distances in the sports of cross-country skiing, biathlon, ski jumping, and Nordic combined. 

The Nordic Festival Kandersteg also offers the unique opportunity for participants to try out all sports in a fun format (XC-Cross, Fun-Biathlon, and Fun-Ski Jumping) and for the community to get to know each other across different sports.

Animation will also play a significant role. A Nordic Festival Village will be set up in the village center where interested individuals can try out Nordic sports (Dario Cologna Fun Course, Simon Ammann Jump Course, and Biathlon). This aims to boost the promotion of young talent in SC Kandersteg.
