A short walk in the moonlight followed by a big treat in the mountain restaurant. Every Thursday evening, the Kandersteg cable car transports you to a magical winter world.

    • Impressive return trip at night with the Kandersteg-Sunnbüel cable car (going up at 18:00, descent at around 21:30)
    • Delicious warm mulled wine upon arrival at the Sunnbüel mountain station
    • Night hike in moonlight (or with torches) (1.5 km, 30-45 min)
    • Kandersteger fondue & dessert at the Sunnbüel mountain restaurant

Hint / Advice

The full moon shines on Saturday, January 3, 2026, on Sunday, February 1, 2026 as well as on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Thanks to the snow and the mountains, it is also quite bright a few days before and after.
