Cattle Drive Engstligenalp

On 20 June 2026, the traditional alpine cattle ascent leads the animals up to Engstligenalp. Visitors can experience an impressive piece of living alpine culture in Adelboden’s mountain scenery.
Arrival Information
An extra bus departs at 6 AM from Adelboden Post to the valley station Adelboden, Unter dem Birg. The bus stops at all regular stops.
Programm
5.00 am: Cable car operations start; coffee and croissants on the Berghotel terrace
6.00 am: Extra bus from Adelboden, Post to Adelboden, Unter dem Birg. All regular stops will be served.
6.00 am: Alpine breakfast at the Berghotel (without table reservation)
7.00 am: Small breakfast offer with breakfast plate at the raclette hut
Price
Alpine breakfast adults CHF 39.00, children up to 15 years CHF 19.00, excl. aerial cableway.
Alpine breakfast adults CHF 67.00, children up to 15 years CHF 33.00, incl. aerial cableway.
Hint / Advice
For safety reasons and the well-being of the animals, the hiking trail is closed during the ascent to the alpine pastures. Thank you for your understanding.
