The 14 km long panoramic trail leads cross-country skiers along various panoramic points from the Nordic Arena to the viewpoint on the high forest, scout centre and even towards the valley station Sunnbüel and back to the starting point of the cross-country skiing centre at Muggeseeli/Des Alpes.

Please note that the "Höh"trail is available for shared use for cross-country skiing, hiking, horseback riding and snowshoeing! Maintenance by the cross-country skiing centre Kandersteg, after creating the cross-country trails in the valley floor (no daily preparation.)

Approach

By car via Spiez - Frutigen or by car train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.

Public transport

Arrival at Kandersteg railway station

To the south the Lötschberg, to the north the Kandertal: this station between Brig (38 min.) and Berne (61 min.) operates hourly intervals - an ideal base for many excursions.

The destination has been decided, and so has the parking space - on this map, drivers can quickly and easily find the right parking option in the Oberland municipality. Well then: engine off, cross-country skis on!

Safety instructions

Please note that you are always on your own responsibility! The Loipenverein does not have its own rescue system and does not make a last slope control, as usual in alpine ski resorts. Please also note the SOS information signs and the rules of conduct at the cross-country centre.

Equipment

Hat, glove, sunglasses: Reliable equipment is particularly important on the trails. What dresses best? Ask our specialists in the numerous sports shops of the destination.
