First chairlift, then mountain view: This Kiental trail starts at the mountain station Ramslauenen, with several altitude meters already covered and the horizon opening wide from the start. This is especially true for the next destination points of this magnificent route such as Chüeweid, Furggi Alp, and Höri. Because those who travel here enjoy both the view into the wild romantic Kiental and over the wide Kandertal.
Public Transport
The mountain village can be reached every two hours via Reichenbach (61 min from Bern). In summer, buses continue on the steep route to the Griesalp.
Parking
On this map, drivers can quickly find suitable parking options in the Oberland municipality. So then: Engine off, trail shoe on!
Directions
It will soon be cool and shady: From the mountain station of the Ramslauenen chairlift, you first walk through the Horewald to the Chüeweid. At this corner point between Kiental and Kandertal, the terrain becomes more open. Runners then turn first southwards to the Furggi Alp, where the path then leads left upwards towards Höri. After another left turn, the last elevation meters of this route follow. The descent back to Ramslauenen now happens quickly.
Safety Instructions
The more extreme the conditions, the more important the equipment. Longer tours in the mountains require, for example, weatherproof clothing and a small running backpack with provisions.
