The village tour leads on pleasant paths through the village of Kandersteg and its surroundings. From the start, it goes through the village center towards Oeschinenbahn and further to the Kander River.
Along the river and over meadow paths, the peaceful landscape can be enjoyed while beautiful views of the mountains repeatedly open up. An uncomplicated route for in between. Ideal for warming up or winding down the day.
Approach
By car via Spiez - Frutigen or the car shuttle train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.

Arrival at Kandersteg train station
South of the Lötschberg, north the Kandertal: For this station between Brig (38 min) and Bern (61 min), there is an hourly service – an ideal base for many excursions.
Parking
The destination is set, the parking space too – on this map, drivers will quickly and easily find the appropriate parking option in the Oberland community. So: engine off, running shoes on!
