This village loop follows easy paths through Kandersteg and its surroundings. From the start, the route leads through the village centre towards the Oeschinen cable car and on to the Kander River.
Along the river and across meadow paths, the peaceful scenery can be enjoyed with beautiful views of the mountains. A simple and enjoyable loop – ideal for a warm-up or a relaxed run at the end of the day.
Approach
By car via Spiez - Frutigen or by car train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.
Public Transport
South of the Lötschberg, north of the Kander Valley. For this point between Brig (38 min.) and Bern (61 min.), an hourly train service is in operation – this is an ideal meeting point for many tours.
Parking
The destination has been decided, and so has the parking space - on this map, drivers can quickly and easily find the right parking option in the Oberland municipality. Well then: engine off, running shoes on!
Directions
Head through the village centre towards the Oeschinen cable car, then to the Kander River and follow it. Return via meadow and village paths back to the centre and the starting point.
