If you are looking for a picture-book Swiss world, the Via Alpina is the right place for you. In 20 daily stages, it leads once across the northern Alps, along many of Switzerland's highlights. The stage from Griesalp to Kandersteg with the popular Blüemlisalphütte and Lake Oeschinen is undoubtedly one of the king's stages.

The route begins in the fairytale world on Griesalp at the back of the Kiental and leads in seven hours over Bundalp to the Hohtürli pass summit and on to Lake Oeschinen.

The pass trail runs along the interface between the glacier world and the green foothills of the Alps and offers plenty of variety. If you spend the night in the Blüemlisalphütte of the SAC, you get the absolute high-mountain experience as a bonus.
