The trail leads from Unter dem Birg along a steep mountain path towards Engstligenalp. Accompanied by the sound of the cascading Engstligen waterfalls, the trail climbs steadily higher. Once on the plateau, a vast alpine landscape opens up.

By car via Frutigen to Adelboden, Engstligenalp valley station.

Free parking spaces are available at the Engstligenalp valley station.
Directions
From Unter dem Birg, follow the marked hiking trail towards Engstligenalp. The trail climbs steadily along the Engstligen waterfalls to the alpine plateau. Once you reach Engstligenalp, the destination has been reached.
Safety Instructions
Even open hiking trails may still be partially covered with snow. Hiking is at your own risk. Tourism Adelboden-Lenk-Kandersteg accepts no liability for the use of local routes.
Equipment
Good hiking shoes with a grippy sole, weather-appropriate clothing, sun protection and sufficient water.

After the climb, enjoy a well-deserved break on Engstligenalp. The Berghotel Engstligenalp and the Raclettehütte Engstligenalp serve regional specialities in an impressive alpine setting.
