Once at the top, a stunning panorama awaits before the descent leads back towards Kandersteg. The varied downhill guarantees plenty of trail fun.
An ideal route for experienced trail runners looking to combine a sporty challenge with spectacular views.
Approach
By car via Spiez - Frutigen or by car train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.
Public Transport
South of the Lötschberg, north the Kandertal: For this train station between Brig (38 min) and Bern (61 min), there is an hourly service – an ideal base for many excursions.
Parking
The destination is set, as is the parking spot – on this map, drivers will quickly and easily find suitable parking options in the Upper Valley community. So then: engine off, running shoes on!
Directions
From the village of Kandersteg, head south towards the International Scout Centre. Turn right there and ascend via the steep path towards Ryharts, then continue to the Allmenalp. The steep but well-maintained ascent to the summit of Bunderspitz follows. Return via Bunderchrinde - Alpschele - Üschinental.
Safety Instructions
