Secluded, wild and romantic, and surrounded by massive rock walls, the alpine valley Bunderle can still be reached comfortably and easily in one and a half hours. Here, the meltwater from the Grosslohner gathers to spectacularly shoot down the valley in foaming fountains.

The route leads down the footpath (Schulgässli) that joins at Hotel Adler to the Oey post bus stop. You cross the Allenbach on the Schützenbrücke and immediately turn left to reach the meadows of the Bunderlen valley on a good driveable road (Bonderlenstrasse) (on the way, a right detour to the International Girl Guides Hostel and to Hohliebe). After a small ditch in the rear part of the valley, the path splits. To the right, you reach the Lohner waterfalls with pretty resting places and can reach Bunderalp via Holzberg. To the left, the path continues to Ahorni and Hirzbodenport or up to Bunderalp.
