The newly created hiking trail through the Grünenwald forest takes you to Lake Oeschinen. The trail is only recommended for experienced snowshoe hikers.

Approach

By car via Spiez - Frutigen or by car train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.

Public transport

South of the Lötschberg, north of the Kander Valley. For this point between Brig (38 min.) and Bern (61 min.), an hourly train service is in operation – this is an ideal meeting point for many tours.

Parking

The destination has been decided, and so has the parking space - on this map, drivers can quickly and easily find the right parking option in the Oberland municipality. Well then: engine off, cross-country skiing boots on!

Follow the signs from the cable car valley station car park.
