Along the Alpine Flower Trail at Betelberg, over 300 different species of alpine flowers, grasses, and lichens grow! Thanks to around 90 signs, hikers and interested parties can be enchanted by the alpine flower world on the 1.6 km long circular trail. The hike starts at the Leiterli mountain station. Now explore the botanical treasures or register for an excursion with Margrit Dubi.
We all know alpine roses, arnica, and gentian, but the meadows along the original Alpine Flower Trail are inhabited by many other species – surrounded by a unique panorama between Wildstrubel and Hasler Hochmoor. The wide trail from the mountain station towards Steinstoss/Gryden is also signposted up to the junction with the original Alpine Flower Trail. Especially suitable for leisurely walkers and those with strollers.
Approach
By car via Zweisimmen to Lenk. At the roundabout in the town center, drive towards the valley station of the Betelberg gondola.
Public Transport
By train via Zweisimmen to Lenk. On foot or by local bus to the valley station of the Betelberg gondola. By Betelberg gondola from Lenk to the Leiterli mountain station. The mountain station is the start & end point of the circular trail.
Parking
Ample free parking at the valley station of the gondola.
Directions
At the mountain station, the start of the Alpine Flower Trail is impossible to miss. Just follow the flower signs.
Safety Instructions
This is a biodiversity that unfortunately no longer occurs very often. Many of the plants at Leiterli are under nature protection. Look instead of uprooting – the plants can be observed closely with pleasure.
