On the newly created hiking trail through the Grünenwald you will reach the Oeschinensee. The path is only recommended for experienced snowshoe hikers.
Approach
By car via Spiez - Frutigen or the car train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.
Public Transport
South of the Lötschberg, north of the Kandertal: For this station between Brig (38 min) and Bern (61 min), trains run hourly – an ideal base for many trips.
Parking
The destination is set, the parking spot too – on this map drivers will quickly and easily find the suitable parking option in the Oberland community. So then: engine off, snowshoes on!
Directions
Follow the signs from the parking lot at the valley station of the gondola.
Safety Instructions
Please note that you are on your own responsibility while on the way. Parts of the path can be frozen and icy. The path is strenuous.
Only accessible with snowshoes. The path is not maintained, therefore this is not a winter hiking trail!
