Approach
Spiez: Follow the signposts to Kandersteg and stay on the main road. Directly after the small bridge opposite Käthy-Sport-Mode, turn left and follow the road keeping left until you reach the car park directly at the valley station.
Lötschberg car transport: Follow the signs for Kandersteg. The journey takes you through Bahnhofstrasse to the main road, turn left. At the junction opposite Käthy Sport + Mode, turn right and keep left until you reach the car park directly at the valley station.
Public Transport
South of the Lötschberg, north of the Kander Valley. For this point between Brig (38 min.) and Bern (61 min.), an hourly train service is in operation – this is an ideal meeting point for many tours.
Parking
Car park directly at the valley station. There is another car park "Im Chehr" at the entrance to the village, which is particularly recommended when the weather is fine and there are large crowds. This is followed by a short walk of about 5-10 minutes.
Directions
The cross-country ski trail is located at the Läger. It is approx. 10-15 minutes from the mountain station on the winter hiking trail down to the cross-country ski trail, see info screens.
Safety Instructions
Please note that you are always on the cross-country ski trail at your own risk! The cross-country skiing association does not maintain its own rescue system and does not carry out final slope checks, as is usual in alpine ski areas.
Equipment
Hat, gloves, sunglasses: reliable equipment is particularly important on the cross-country ski trails. What is the best clothing? Ask our specialists in the numerous sports shops in the destination.
