Starting in Kiental, the route follows quiet roads and gravel tracks into the Suldtal before climbing steadily towards Faltschen. The ascent is rewarded with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. One of the highlights of the tour is the Panorama Trail itself, where riding enjoyment and alpine scenery come together perfectly.
From the highest point of the route, the trail continues towards Aeschiried, offering stunning viewpoints high above Lake Thun. The ride then transitions into a fast and enjoyable descent towards Reichenbach. The final kilometres lead back to Kiental on quiet roads and easy paths. The tour combines alpine roads, forest tracks and short singletrail sections, making it an excellent choice for experienced mountain bikers with a good level of fitness.
Approach
From Bern, follow the A6 motorway towards Spiez and continue via Frutigen to Reichenbach im Kandertal. From there, a well-maintained mountain road leads into Kiental and to the Ramslauenen chairlift base station, located near the start of the tour.
Public Transport
The tour starts in Kiental and is easily accessible by public transport. Take the train to Reichenbach im Kandertal, then continue by PostBus to the Kiental, Ramslauenen stop, located close to the starting point. Travel time from Bern is approximately one hour.
Parking
Parking spaces are available at the Ramslauenen chairlift base station and in the nearby Kiental village area. Parking is generally available throughout the day, although arriving early is recommended during peak summer weekends.

Safety Instructions
The route includes several steep climbs and a few technically demanding trail sections. Depending on trail conditions and riding ability, short sections may need to be pushed. After rainfall, gravel roads and trails can become slippery. Please ride with care, respect hikers and livestock, and always check weather and trail conditions before setting out.
Tips
Take your time to enjoy the viewpoints along the Panorama Trail and around Aeschiried. On clear days, the views extend across Lake Thun to iconic peaks such as Niesen, Blüemlisalp and the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau massif. Riders looking for an additional challenge can include a detour into the beautiful Suldtal.
