The route follows a varied network of forest and mountain trails through the scenic slopes of Mägisseren. With every meter of elevation gained, the panorama becomes more impressive, until above the tree line the entire mountain landscape of the Frutigen region unfolds before you. The highest point of the tour is the Gunggstand at just under 1,915 m above sea level. From here, the view stretches across the striking peaks of the Bernese Oberland and deep down into the Kandertal Valley.
The diverse return route leads back to Frutigen along beautiful single trails and scenic mountain paths. The combination of challenging climbs, alpine scenery, and breathtaking panoramic views makes this tour a truly memorable trail-running experience.

Safety Instructions
The route partly follows alpine mountain paths and narrow trail sections. Sure-footedness, good physical fitness, and experience in mountainous terrain are essential. Weather conditions can change rapidly, especially at higher elevations. In poor visibility, the panoramic views are lost and navigation may become more challenging.
Even officially open hiking trails may still be partially covered with snow. Participation is at your own risk: Tourism Adelboden-Lenk-Kandersteg accepts no liability for the use of local routes.
Tips
The most beautiful panoramic views can be experienced early in the morning or in the evening, when the sun bathes the mountain peaks surrounding the Kandertal Valley in warm light. Those who wish to fully enjoy the scenery should plan a short photo stop at Gunggstand to take in the breathtaking views at a relaxed pace.
