The short circular trail leads past the Catholic church into the Wildi in the Oeschiwald. Follow the markings through the forest. At the valley station of the Oeschinen cable car, walk north through the Oeschigässli and via Nidermatti back to the station. Enjoy the snow-covered winter landscape in one of the best sunny areas in Kandersteg. Benches invite you to linger.
Approach
By car via Spiez - Frutigen or by car train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.
Public transport
The Lötschberg to the south, the Kandertal to the north: this station between Brig (38 min.) and Bern (61 min.) has hourly intervals - an ideal base for many excursions.
Parking
