Impressive views over Lake Oeschinen, the Blümlisalp group and the Unesco World Heritage Site. From Oeschinensee, follow the path towards Blüemlisalphütte and easily reach Underbärgli and Oberbärgli, an idyllic alp with cows.

Descend along the same route or alternatively via Heuberg.

Approach

By car via Spiez - Frutigen or by car train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.

Public Transport

Arrival at Kandersteg train station

South of the Lötschberg, north of the Kander Valley. For this point between Brig (38 min.) and Bern (61 min.), an hourly train service is in operation – this is an ideal meeting point for many tours.

Parking

Parkings Kandersteg

The destination has been decided, and so has the parking space - on this map, drivers can quickly and easily find the right parking option in the Oberland municipality. Well then: engine off, hiking boots on!

Safety Instructions

Open hiking trails may also still be partially covered with snow. Hiking is at your own risk: Tourism Adelboden-Lenk-Kandersteg accepts no liability whatsoever when using local routes.

Equipment

No need for heavy boots here – this easy hike is well-marked in either yellow or red-white. Of course, it can be steep at times, but there are also numerous mountain restaurants along the way.
