You can comfortably reach the start of this winter hike via the Stand-Xpress gondola to the Metsch middle station. The view of Lenk and the surrounding mountain scenery is always great throughout the hike. Looking south, you see the valley end of the Simmental, to the west the Betelberg ski area, and to the north St. Stephan with the Spilgerten.

Directions

The section Metsch – Hubel runs on a wide road but with very little traffic. From Hubel to the village of Lenk, the path takes you over the Bühlerbergstrasse. An advantage here is that there are many bus stops along the way, so the option to return by bus is always available.

Tips

During the winter season, Bühlerbergstrasse operates as a one-way street: uphill: from xx.45 to xx.15 / downhill: from xx.15 to xx.45. The bus also follows the one-way system.
