The Lötschberger north ramp leads via Kandersteg train station to the church in Kandergrund and on to Frutigen.
The first panel of the railway hiking trail awaits you already in Eggenschwand at the north portal of the Lötschberg Tunnel.
In the destination of Frutigen, among other things, the portal of the Lötschberg base tunnel can be seen.
Distances and shortcuts
Those who want to shorten the hike take the bus from Kandersteg to "Mitholz" and from there walk the most varied core section to Kandergrund.
Other shorter variants are possible. The hiking trail meets three bus stops ("Mitholz, Balmhorn", "Blausee" and "Kandergrund, Altels") and can thus be shortened.
