The rear Kiental is simply wildly romantic to end a winter hike as soon as the sun goes down. When dusk falls, the time-honoured paraffin lamps are simply lit outdoors here. It is the time of the lantern trail. Walkers can explore the snow-covered forests below the Blüemlisalpmassiv in a magical ambience.

From 13 December to February, the path is lit from Friday to Sunday from 5.30 pm to 9 pm. Old years week 26.12. to 5.1.2025 every evening illuminated .The trail starts at the car park near the Hotel-Restaurant Alpenruh.

The route is also available to groups on request on other days of operation. Those who take the lantern trail need not worry about the frosty temperatures: at the latest, a spicy mulled wine or a creamy fondue in the "Alpenruh" restaurant will ensure cosy warmth at the end.
