The tour starts either at Iffigenalp, which can only be reached by cab in winter, or at Hubelmatte. Starting from Hubelmatte, you quickly leave the Iffigenalp road and climb over fields to Fallweid. Follow the Iffigenalp road for a short stretch through the forest to Ritzdole. Continue through fields and forest towards Langermatte. The last 150 m are climbed in open terrain. The Langermatte is a plateau from which the view of the Wildstrubel and Laufbodenhorn is magnificent.

From Langermatte, the route bypasses the steeper slopes to Alp Langer. From here, follow the summer road to Chäli. From Chäli, the route leads through clearings and snow-covered woodland. The last part of the descent leads along the snow-covered road down to the Simmenfälle restaurant.
