The hut is located in a Swiss federal game reserve area. The surroundings are inhabited by a diverse fauna and flora. In addition, Alpine ibexes are often found close to the hut. A delight for everyone.
From the Sunnbüel mountain station to the Daubensee. Turn right and follow along the western shore to Lämmerenboden. Follow the trail markers to the hut at the foot of the glaciated Wildstrubel massif. Alpine ibex or marmots are often near the hut.
Approach
By car via Frutigen or the car shuttle train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.

Arrival Kandersteg Train Station
South of Lötschberg, north of the Kandertal valley: This station between Brig (38 min) and Bern (61 min) operates hourly – an ideal base for many excursions.
