The mountain hut is located in a Swiss hunting ban district. Diverse flora and fauna thrives in this setting. Ibex are often seen close to the mountain hut. Everyone can enjoy the surroundings.

From Sunnbüel mountain station follow Gemmiweg as far as Daubensee . Turn off to the right along the western riverbank to Lämmeren. Follow the signs along the route to the mountain hut at the foot of the glacial Wildstrubel mountain range. Ibex are often seen close to the mountain hut.

By car via Frutigen or by car train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.
