Starting from the mountain house Iffigenalp, the mountain path begins with a steep climb through the forest. Afterwards, the path leads in an exposed position along a steep rock face, always with a breathtaking view over the Iffig valley. Here the rock was blasted for the benefit of the mountain trail. Where necessary, fixed cables ensure more safety. From the small Blattihütte up to the Rawilseeleni, the terrain is less steep again. The last section from the Rawilseeleni rises steeply once more and leads through open, rocky terrain up to the hut. It is worth pausing now and then (due to the thinning air this might be necessary anyway ;-) ) and enjoying the view of the most likely unexpected high plain "Plan des Roses" and the Wildhorn. After the strenuous hike, you will be rewarded at the Wildstrubelhütte by a fantastic panoramic view.

Do not be distracted by the cable car on the way. This is a non-public military cable car.
