This varied trail running route links Elsigenalp with Adelboden and is considered one of the region’s most scenic panoramic trails. Shortly after the start, you'll enjoy beautiful views of the idyllic Brandsee and the surrounding mountain landscape.
The route follows scenic high-level trails, lush alpine meadows, and varied mountain paths towards Metsch and Bonderalp. Runnable sections alternate with short climbs, each rewarded with spectacular views over the Engstligen Valley and the surrounding peaks.
Approach
Follow the A6 motorway from Bern to Spiez, take the Spiez exit, and continue via Frutigen towards Adelboden. In Achseten, turn left after the second bridge towards Elsigbach and follow the panoramic road to the Elsigenalp cable car valley station. From there, take the cable car up to Elsigenalp.
Public Transport
Park your car in Frutigen and take public transport to Elsigbach valley station. After your hike, which finishes in Adelboden, return to Frutigen by AFA scheduled bus.

Free parking is available at the Elsigbach valley station.
