The path runs mostly flat along the Kander and passes through meadows, forests, and small towns like Kandergrund and Mitholz. Along the way, there are beautiful views of the surrounding mountain landscape. At the destination, you will find Blausee with its intensely turquoise water amid a quiet nature park.

By car to Frutigen.

By train to Frutigen station.
Parking
Parking is available at the station or at the marketplace located in the center of the village.
Directions
Start in the center of Frutigen, follow the hiking trail towards Kandergrund. Continue downstream via Mitholz to Blausee. The path is well signposted throughout. Return by bus from Blausee is possible.
Safety Instructions
The route is easy to walk, but good footwear is recommended. Some sections can be slippery in wet weather. Please stay on marked paths and be considerate of nature and other hikers.
Tips
At Blausee, a relaxing boat ride on the clear mountain lake is also worthwhile.
