Bus arrival Adelboden

The mountain village is only 90 minutes from the capital Bern. On site, the bus station in the center of Adelboden connects the entire Engstligen valley.

Here vehicle drivers easily find the appropriate parking option in the Upper Valley community. So then: engine off, hiking shoe on!

Tip: Parking Fuhrenweidli (valley station Sillerenbahn), CHF 5.- per day.

After starting in Adelboden Oey, the route follows the Engstligen along the gently curved hiking path. At the Mülli bridge, turn left and shortly after go up the Gspennweg, which at some point becomes a hiking trail leading to the Hohliebe. What a view! The trail then leads through the wonderfully fragrant Lengweid forest and directly continues to Laueli. Once here, it seems as if the Bernese Oberland has completely swallowed you, and only the murmur of the fountain next to the alpine hut reminds you that you still have trail shoes on your feet. Then continue down the narrow trail, over roots and fir cones, and past small streams. Under the Birg, you can choose the hiking trail along the river, which leads back to Adelboden Oey, or for the especially hungry runners, the waterfall circuit can be added.

• The more extreme the conditions, the more important the equipment. Longer routes in the mountains require, for example, weatherproof clothing and a small running backpack with provisions.
