After the steep ascent through the mountain forest, the first big reward soon follows. The Brandsee lake with its turquoise water is enchanting. From the panorama trail, the view extends as far as Frutigen.

Directions

At the valley station of the Elsigbahn, the trail starts off right away. The first meters of altitude are quite challenging. However, those who let their gaze wander will already discover a wealth of fragrant alpine flowers. And for those who want more alpine support on the way up, the cable car is ready. Once at the top, the path continues slightly uphill to the turquoise Brandsee. It’s worth dipping your feet in the sparkling water or refreshing your face. The trail then continues over narrow paths, through flower-strewn alpine meadows, and along rushing streams to Elsigsee. What a gem! Once you’ve circled it and soaked in the surrounding colors, it’s another “must-see” on this route. The trail then leads back towards the mountain inn Elsigen, where the panoramic path awaits. It forms the crowning conclusion of this route. Flowing, it offers a view over the valley and makes you forget space and time. Those who walk here take a special piece of mountain love home with them.
