After the steep ascent through the mountain forest, the first big reward soon follows. The Brandsee, with its turquoise water, enchants. Then it continues over narrow paths, past alpine flowers and grazing cows to the dreamy Elsigsee. The route delights not only with its lakes but also with its view. From the panoramic trail, this extends to Frutigen.

Directions
At the valley station of the Elsigbahn, this trail really gets going right away. The first altitude meters are challenging. But those who let their gaze wander will already discover a wealth of fragrant alpine flowers. And for those who want even more alpine support on the way up, the mountain cable car is available. Once at the top, the path continues gently uphill to the turquoise Brandsee. It’s worth dipping your feet into the sparkling water or refreshing your face. Then continue over narrow paths, through flower-strewn alpine meadows and along babbling brooks to the Elsigsee. What a gem! Once circled and the surrounding colors absorbed, it’s another “must-have-seen” on this route. After that, the trail leads back towards the mountain inn Elsigen, where the panoramic trail awaits. It provides the crowning finish to this route. Flowing, it opens up the view across the valley and lets you forget space and time. Those who run here take a special piece of mountain love home with them.
