From the bus station to the waterfall: Only 18 minutes of travel time separate the two AFA stations “Post” in the village center and “Unter dem Birg”. At the foot of the steep rock faces, mountain enthusiasts then take the cable car to the plateau.
Parking
Parking spaces are available at the valley station Unter dem Birg.
Directions
Start at the valley station Unter dem Birg. From here, follow the path towards Engstligenalp along the roaring waterfalls, which plunge over 600 meters down. The trail quickly becomes steep and leads in switchbacks over narrow, partly stair-like passages upwards. In the upper section, the terrain levels off. Across alpine meadows, you reach Engstligenalp at around 2,000 m.
