Directions

The starting point of your running adventure is at the Reformed Church in Kandersteg. From Kandersteg station, follow the BLS line upstream. At the end of Eisbahnweg, turn left over the bridge and immediately after right into Hüttematteweg. Passing the beautifully preserved Ruedihus, cross the road and run toward the Waldhotel Doldenhorn. Just before the hotel, a forest path branches off to the right – here begins the ascent.

In numerous hairpin bends, the path winds up through the dense mountain forest. At the next junction, keep left. The path now runs with slight ups and downs through the shady forest to the Undere Biberg.

From here, the ascent becomes steeper again. Along the brook, the path rises sharply until you reach the Obere Biberg, where the alpine trail from Fisialp joins. Now it's about 100 meters of elevation to the Doldenhorn hut.
