From the mountain station of the Tschentenbahn, the Schwandfälspitz can be reached in just 15 minutes. At this point, hikers are already treated to a breathtaking view of the Bernese Alps. The hike then continues along the ridge to the entrance of the deeply incised gullies on the south side of the Gsür (second highest peak of the Niesenkette) and further to the very remote but beautiful Alp Furggi (2091m). From here begins a steep descent (approx. 900 m elevation difference), followed by a gentle return hike via Schermtanne back to the village of Adelboden.
