The start of the route is the Betelberg valley station. The trail initially leads through the forest and steadily ascends until the highest point at the Seefluh is reached. From here, the view over the snow-covered end of the valley is breathtaking! Always with the Wildstrubel in sight, the route continues through the Pöschenried (snowshoes must be taken off here) and descends via the Staldengässli to the valley floor. Here, the snowshoe trail leads via the Lenkerseeli back to the Betelberg valley station.

From Spiez via Simmental road to Lenk.

Directions
The ascent follows a wide hiking trail through the forest without any special difficulties. As soon as the forest is left behind, a forest road ascends over the Seefluh. The route through the Pöschenried leads along paved roads. The Staldengässli is a steep forest path that was already used during Roman times. The trail surface back to the village of Lenk is mostly gravel, or hopefully snow in winter.
Safety Instructions
For snowshoe routes, the appropriate equipment and the necessary expertise (avalanche knowledge, alpine skills) are mandatory! Anyone without experience in assessing the avalanche situation in open terrain should better go on snowshoe tours with a trained mountain guide.
