The Adelboden "Chuenisbärgli" is the giant slalom slope par excellence, considered the most feared World Cup course in the world. The trail start is located below the legendary slope, where since 1967 the FIS Ski World Cup takes place annually. With a view of Lohner, Wildstrubel, and Fitzer, it initially goes about one kilometer south to a bridge. Here the trail crosses the Engstligbach, which divides the Adelboden valley floor. While the hotels, holiday homes, shops, and restaurants are mainly located on the sun-exposed slope, farmers work in the "Boden" area. Passing some farms and stately wooden houses, the trail continues north in several loops to the Alpina Hotel. Across the street, in a large right loop, it reaches the turning point between two hills. Heading south again, with a slight to moderate incline and some descents, the highest point of the trail is reached at the Unterbirg trail junction. However, this is left to the left. After a brisk descent with some curves, the bridge crosses the Engstligbach again. On the left side of the valley, there are two short ascents and easy descents returning to the starting point. Tip: For weaker skiers, there is the possibility to bypass the two loops, which are locally marked as challenging, by going straight ahead.
