The Biberg loop follows varied trails through forest and across meadows above Kandersteg. The route begins along the Oeschibach before climbing steadily towards Biberg. Along the way, there are repeated views over the Kandertal.
At the top, the trail crosses the scenic Biberg plateau. The return leads on pleasant paths through light forest and open terrain back down to the valley. A varied loop with a calm alpine character.
Approach
Arrival by tunnel or with a lake view: Car drivers can reach Kandersteg via Spiez-Frutigen or by car train from Goppenstein.
Public Transport
Arrival at Kandersteg Railway Station
South of the Lötschberg, north of the Kander Valley: There is an hourly service for this station, which lies between Brig (38 min.) and Berne (61 min.).
Parking
Find the best places to park in the local area. There's nothing in your way now, so engine off and trail shoes on!
Directions
