Starting at Lenk, the route follows the bike path, away from the main road, on asphalt and gravel through the Simmental to Oey. Via Diemtigen it continues on asphalt through the Diemtigtal to Zwischenflüh, from where it really gets serious. A narrow road leads about 800 m uphill through alpine pastures to the Meieberg. Some sections are very steep, but this pass is worth every drop of sweat for its scenery. The last part (Strade Bianche) and a short section of the descent are unpaved. After the descent to Zweisimmen, it goes back to Lenk again via the bike path.
