Basically:

With the Intercity, you have a connection every hour with a transfer from Zurich to Bern, where you can change to the Regio Express.

With the Regio Express you can reach (in the front part of the train) without changing trains Frutigen, Reichenbach, and Kandersteg. In Reichenbach, you can directly transfer to the PostBus heading towards Kiental. From Frutigen, the AFA buses go directly to Adelboden.

If you want to go directly to the Simmental, you can already take a seat in Bern in the rear part of the Regio Express. This goes directly from Spiez to Zweisimmen. There you can transfer to the MOB and go to the end of the valley (Lenk).
