Change of the seasons.

The day starts briskly; we immediately ascend to the highest point of today, the Tierberg (2,371 m above sea level). Our first goal is worth a geographical orientation: looking east, we see over the ski area of Silleren past Adelboden towards the mountain range with the distinctive Lohnermassiv and the Bunderspitz. Behind lies already Kandersteg. Our route now leads through the well-known winter sports area Adelboden-Lenk...dänk!, past the Brenggen reservoir, to the Bummerepass, at the foot of the Rägeboldshore. We descend over alpine pastures and Vorsasse down to the rushing Simme, past the Barbara bridge. The sound of the water lets us forget the over 1,400 meters of descent in our legs as we fall asleep.

Highlights:

  • Mountain spring between Tierberg and Rägeboldshore
  • Color of the Brenggen reservoir
  • Visit to the Alp Seewlen alpine cheese dairy, tel. 033 733 13 70
  • Spraying Simmenfälle waterfalls during snowmelt
  • Collecting blueberries
