First follow the signposts to the Üschenetal. From the end of the alpine road branching off to the north in the Ueschinental, you reach the Allmenalp on an effortless, impressive high-level hiking trail. You can comfortably return to Kandersteg by the Kandersteg-Allmenalp cable car.

South of the Lötschberg, north of the Kandertal: This station, between Brig (38 min) and Bern (61 min), is served hourly. The station is an ideal base for many excursions.
