From the village centre follow the road to Eggenschwand – at the southern end of Kandersteg. Alternatively, follow the route along the river Kander past the International Scout Centre. The unpaved road up to the Gasterntal is steep but short and offers breath taking views. The road continues through the valley to Selden. Those who want to carry on will reach the end of the route 10 minutes later in Heimritz. Take extra care during the descent through the dark tunnels!

Safety instructions
The route from Kandersteg via Waldhaus and Selden to Heimritz can be covered by bicycle. On the Chluse section, cyclists must also adhere to the interval timetable. Please also note that in summer on the gravel road there is often a considerable amount of dust generated by passenger cars and buses.
